ADDERALL CANYONLY, BETWEEN THE RAYS LIES FEAR BUT ALSO JOY

New tape from Adderall Canyonly out on UK label Jehu & Chinaman. The cassette is sold out but you can stream that synth-laden weirdness to your heart's content.

Sjfm Mix Series: Perfect Strangers Edition Vol. 3

Welcome to the latest addition of the Sjfm Mix Series! This mix is a heady brew of wild free jazz explorations, warped italo synth funk, sweaty 70's Brazillian pysch, cutting edge electronic music pioneers, dark spiritual jazz grooves, possibly the best guitar solo I have ever heard, ancient indian vocal raga's and more. Not that I would know or anything but I imagine this mix would go perfectly with some Ayahuasca tea. So download/stream below, turn your lights out, throw your headphones on and take a deep, dark, trip.

Tracklist after the jump.

Ditt Inre - VÄRD MER ÄN GULD

If you are a sucker for dreamy, synth-led Scandinavian pop like I am, then this record is really going to be a treat. Stockholm duo Ditt Inre makes smooth as silk pop music in the lineage of Sade but with a unmistakable understanding of dance and pop music in 2013. Unapologetically pretty, crisp and
dreamy, Vard Mer An Guld is one of the best pop records this year.

The LP will be available in the flesh September 3.

GIORGIO MORODER - BABY BLUE (1979)

The master at work. ★

New Panabrite, "Ascent Rate"

Some new steez from the Seattle raw dawg right here. New release coming later this spring/summer. Be on the lookout!

Food Pyramid and Roy Orb D.M.T. - ARP Navigators LP

New Food Pyramid LP with Roy Orb D.M.T.

Axxess - Pages

So, the story goes that Patrick Mimran AKA Axxess made this record while he was the top executive at Lamborghini Motors. Novels for the Moon, the 1983 record that this track belongs to, was actually released on Lamborghini Records, the in-house record label of the Lamborghini corporation! I couldn't make this up if I tried.

Aside from that ridiculous backstory, it's a pretty excellent example of 80's synth music, somewhere between the soundtracks Goblin made with John Carpenter and classic Kraftwerk.

Also; sprockets.

Gary War

Gary War - Superlifer

Good ol' zonked out synth + autotune numbskullery from my man Gary War.
