A sequel of sorts to the early 2k13 release Any Exit, San Fran artist Edmund Xavier, performing here as FWY!, delves deep into the grooves on his new HWY Trust tape, out now via Oakland's Moon Glyph. I went to Cali twice this past fall and couldn't get these jams out of my head as I rode down the sunny ocean side highways, with palm trees lining the road and the sun shining above. Below are three deliciously far-out jams for your listening pleasure, and head HERE to cop the tape.

HENRY THE RABBIT
Henry the Rabbit is the side project of Halasan Bazar's drummer. His latest release, Earthen Birth By, was just released by the inimitable Moon Glyph label, who have also released a tape by his other band. The 9 tracks that make up this tape are in the self-described style of "psychedelic ukulele skiffle," as heard in the above tunes. The tape came out earlier this summer, but it's worth a few listens, as the days get shorter and the nights get cooler (and I no longer feel the urge to scream into my pillow). Hope you dig this one, jammerz!

¡¡¡Moon Glyph Alert!!! If you feel like you're not getting enough of your daily serving of Food Pyramid, waiting for Ecstasy and Refreshment to arrive from the outer reaches, then you are in luck, because Beat Detectives are on the case and feelin that bass. Sharing a member with Food Pyramid, this 3 piece from Minneapolis/New York vibe on a sound equal parts høt-&-cøld, dual forms coming together to create perfect harmony, like cold wave Paris discovered candy-flipping and exchanged their dour 'tudes for purer moods. Dead Luke - "Paranoia Is A Flower Of The Mind" by Moon Glyph
I saw these guys open for CAVE in Madison last night, and they held their own against the Chicago psych-rockerz. They've got a big Spacemen-3, drone-rock steez going on, and I think you'll dig it. Check out their 2011 album "Meanwhile...in the Midwest" from the always reliable Moonglyph Records for more of that spacey shit.
