BRONZE, "QUALITY"

This record came out in early 2k14, but since we were off the grid for a while I feel like it's necessary to post some of the "choice" tracks from earlier in the year. Bay Area psych-rock outfit Bronze dropped one of my favorite LPs of the year, World Arena, via Not Not Fun, and below you can stream highlight "Quality." The follow up to their RVNG released Copper, this whole thing has been blowin' my mind whenever I put it on, and I think you'll see why with the taste below. Stream: LX Sweat - City Of Sweat

LX Sweat is releasing an LP this summer on the ever consistent Not Not Fun label, and while the quality of production marks a shift away from the blurry VHS steeze of his debut cassette (w/ NNF), the aptly titled Sweat Sweat Sweat, it is every bit as syrupy and luxurious. Hailing from Berlin, home of legends, LX Sweat is influenced in equal parts by E-Funk, Memphis underground rap-tapes, 90's slow jamz R&B, and all things choppednotslopped. Lean with me, jammerz.

Before Ital, Daniel Martin-McCormick put out two records thru Not Not Fun under the name Sex Worker (in addition to his work with Black Eyes and Mi Ami). These tracks are from his 2010 LP, Waving Goodbye.
